About MOTS-c dosing
MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid peptide encoded in mitochondrial DNA. It is studied as a metabolic signal — an "exercise mimetic" in the research shorthand — with interest in insulin sensitivity and physical performance.
Because doses are in whole milligrams, a 10 mg vial in 2 mL (5 mg per mL) means a 5 mg dose is a full 1 mL — 100 units, the whole syringe. Reconstituting in less water is not an option for a 10 mg dose, so some providers split doses across two injections.
Dose and frequency come from your G1 provider. This calculator converts that dose to a syringe measurement and flags when a draw would exceed one syringe.
Why does the calculator show 100 units for MOTS-c?
MOTS-c doses are large relative to vial size. 5 mg from a 10 mg vial in 2 mL is exactly 1 mL — a full U-100 syringe. If your draw exceeds 100 units, reconstitute with less water or ask your provider about splitting the dose.
How long does a 10 mg MOTS-c vial last?
At 5 mg per dose, two doses. At 2.5 mg, four doses. MOTS-c is typically dosed a few times a week rather than daily, so a single vial may cover one to two weeks.
