About CagriSema dosing

CagriSema combines an amylin analog (cagrilintide) with a GLP-1 agonist (semaglutide) in a single weekly injection. The two act on satiety through different receptors, and the combination outperformed semaglutide alone in phase 3 trials.

Compounded blends are usually labelled as a 1:1 ratio, so a "2.4 mg" dose means 2.4 mg of each. Enter the total milligrams of peptide in your vial and the per-component dose you were prescribed; the calculator handles the rest.

CagriSema is investigational and not something G1 currently prescribes. Book a free consultation to talk through what is available for weight management.

How is CagriSema dosed?

Once weekly, escalating over roughly four months to 2.4 mg of cagrilintide plus 2.4 mg of semaglutide. Blended vials are labelled by the amount of each component, so read the label carefully before entering numbers.

What weight-loss results has CagriSema shown?

In the REDEFINE 1 phase 3 trial, participants lost about 20–23% of body weight over 68 weeks, more than semaglutide or cagrilintide alone. Individual results vary and depend on adherence and lifestyle changes.

Is CagriSema the same as taking semaglutide and cagrilintide separately?

Pharmacologically similar, but a single blended injection keeps the ratio fixed and halves the number of injections. Separate vials let a provider titrate each component independently.
