About Mazdutide dosing
Mazdutide is a dual GLP-1 and glucagon receptor agonist developed by Innovent and Eli Lilly, studied first in China. The glucagon component adds an energy-expenditure effect on top of the appetite effect of GLP-1.
Doses run higher than semaglutide: 10 mg in 2 mL is 5 mg per mL, so 3 mg is 0.6 mL — 60 units — and a 10 mg vial holds about three doses. Larger vials make sense at the upper steps.
Mazdutide is not approved in the US and G1 does not prescribe it. A free consultation is the place to discuss available options.
How does mazdutide differ from tirzepatide?
Both are dual agonists that include GLP-1, but the second target differs: tirzepatide adds GIP, mazdutide adds glucagon. Glucagon agonism raises energy expenditure and has liver-fat effects that GIP does not.
What doses are being studied for mazdutide?
Phase 3 programs used 4 mg and 6 mg weekly after escalation, with 9 mg explored for higher-BMI populations. Any schedule for an individual would be set by a prescriber.
Is mazdutide available at G1?
No. It is not approved in the US. G1 prescribes retatrutide and a range of peptides through telehealth; book a free consultation to see what fits your goals.
