Orforglipron Dosage Calculator

Orforglipron is a daily pill, not an injection — there is nothing to reconstitute and no syringe to draw. This page covers how its dosing works instead.

What is Orforglipron? →

ORAL COMPOUND

Orforglipron is taken by mouth, so there is no vial to reconstitute and no syringe to draw. Doses are fixed tablets set by your provider; the guidance below covers how the dosing schedule works.

About Orforglipron dosing

Orforglipron is a small-molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist developed by Eli Lilly. Because it is not a peptide it survives digestion, so it is taken as a once-daily tablet with no food or water restrictions — unlike oral semaglutide.

Trials escalated from a low starting dose through 3, 12, 24, and 36 mg daily, with the escalation pace driving how well digestive side effects were tolerated. Tablets are fixed strengths, so there is no measuring.

Orforglipron is not yet approved and G1 does not prescribe it. If a needle-free option matters to you, a free consultation is the place to discuss what is available now.

Is orforglipron taken orally?

Yes. It is a once-daily tablet that can be taken with or without food, at any time of day. No injection, no reconstitution, and no refrigeration.

What is the typical orforglipron dose?

Phase 3 programs escalated to maintenance doses of 12, 24, or 36 mg daily after a starting period at lower strengths. The final dose would be chosen by a prescriber based on response and tolerance.

Why is there no calculator for orforglipron?

Reconstitution math only applies to lyophilized vials drawn into a syringe. Orforglipron comes as fixed-strength tablets, so the only "dose math" is which tablet you were prescribed.
